CHAPTER NATURE GROUP

keeps moving forward with a number of our sustainability pledges and objectives, such as those pertaining to our Climate Action Plan and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. We appreciate the ongoing support from our members, suppliers, staff, and the communities in which we operate as we jointly strive to fulfill these promises and objectives.

Our Guidelines for Sustainability

CHAPTER NATURE GROUP aims to make sustainable, eco-friendly products that break down naturally and leave no negative trace behind possible for individuals and communities.

We are all under pressure to take action due to the accelerating climate change, resource shortages, and biodiversity loss. For numerous years, CHAPTER NATURE GROUP has endeavored to spearhead the advancement of ecologically conscious disposable goods. Products with the highest level of functionality and long-term composting, recycling, or reuse solutions. Giving back more than we take is the goal. Our goal is to support regenerative business models that promote social and economic progress for present and future generations while avoiding negative environmental effects.

Our efforts to be sustainable

Our revamped strategy is centered around three new sustainability initiatives. All employees working inside the CHAPTER NATURE GROUP are guided by these discrete focal areas, which are founded on in-depth investigation.

Our revised business plan states that all operations should incorporate circular economy and sustainability concepts. It is the common duty of all departments inside the organization for all important functions to contribute to the outcomes.

Innovation is fueled by collaborations.

To achieve our ambitious sustainability goals by 2030, we need to collaborate with like-minded parties at every stage of the value chain. The key is to determine which sustainable solution—single-use or multi-use, depending on composting, recycling, or reuse—is optimal for each consumer.

Sustainable development goals(SDGS)

We evaluated the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations to prioritize our Climate Action Plan in connection to our business model in FY2021 and line with Point No. 1 of our 10-point plan. 169 targets that balance the economic, social, and environmental aspects of sustainable development make up the 17 internationally recognized 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We prioritized what makes sense for our business by conducting a materiality evaluation in accordance with the guidelines established by the UN Global Compact for SDG Disclosure, with help from an outside third party. The evaluation comprised:

  • Undertaking preliminary scenario planning exercises
  • Performing risk and opportunity assessments of operations and merchandising
  • Carrying out initial scenario planning tasks
  • Conducting evaluations of opportunities and risks for operations and merchandising
  • Including our code of ethics and our definition of “doing the right thing”
  • Stressing the significance of mapping and tracking our value chains in order to understand what is truly occurring on the ground and to assist us in bringing about real, constructive change
  • Combining our commitment to forest conversion with our main products
  • Comparing ourselves to industry peers for industry alignment reveals that we are more thorough than our counterparts.
  • Our efforts to be sustainable

We have already started several steps to further increase the sustainability and circularity of our operations and goods in accordance with our new strategy and sustainability efforts.

We're on the way.

We keep implementing eco-friendly procedures in our company. As we gain more knowledge and adjust to a constantly changing environment, our methods change over time, and we update our commitment to reflect these changes.
